Included in the price of the retreat when you book accommodation is a delectable gourmet breakfast and a full package meal program may be added upon request prior to arrival for an additional cost.

Lunch and dinner can be ordered off one of the three menus at the retreat center and all diets can be catered to.

 CANCELLATION POLICY

• A deposit of $500 is required to hold your space for the retreat and $1,000 for your accommodation.

• The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 60 days before the arrival date. After the 60 days, it is fully transferable to another program within one year of the start date of the original program.

• The rest of the payment should be paid a minimum of 60 days before arrival for early bird discounts and 30 days for regular price.

Just like every human being, every location has its own distinctive energy and essence. The charm of Bocas del Toro is most profoundly felt in its alluring balance of vibrant, yet calming energy, the unique cultural diversity and the breathtaking natural biodiversity and picturesque landscapes.

Location - Set in crystal clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean where the lush flora of unspoiled jungles opens up to white sand beaches, the archipelago of Bocas del Toro hosts nine main islands, fifty cays and over two hundred islets, offering an abundance of heavenliness to explore.

Culture - The archipelago hosts a multitude of cultures that united together truly give Bocas its unique essence and flavors. It is home to the indigenous tribes of the Ngöbe-Buglé, Bri Bri, Bokata & Naso and even sprinkled with Guna & Emberá-Wounaan. United with these tribes it hosts mix of Afro-Panamanians, Hispanic & Latin Americans, as well as a diverse mixture of expatriates from all over the world.

Nature- The sheer natural beauty of this area is incomparable. Not only is Bocas the idilic tropical island location, it is enchanting on all levels. Its untamed wilderness brings together marine and terrestrial ecosystems. So weather you desire to swim with the abundance of life on the coral reefs, kayak through the graceful mangroves while searching the only place in the world to see the pygmy three-toed sloths, or simply relax on a sun-kissed beach, Bocas has you covered. And after exploring the waters, you can take a walk through tropical lush forests while being sung to by the plethora of exotic birds, while watching monkeys swing from branch to branch and all the while being blown away by the beauty of all the colorful creations that surround you.

Home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Panama's National Marine Park, Bocas del Toro has become one of Panama's most visited eco-tourism destinations. Considered the Galapagos of the Caribbean, the archipelago of Bocas del Toro is also one of the most biologically diverse places on earth.

It is a one-hour flight from Panama City or a 90-minute flight from San José, Costa Rica.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive to Bocas Del Toro Isla Colon International Airport airport, which is an hour's flight from Panama City, Panama. Sometimes it is much cheaper to book your flight to Panama City first and book your transfer flight separately. Transfer to and from the airport is available upon request for the cost of 45 USD. It is a 20-minute ride to the retreat center location.

There are two airlines that fly from Panama City to Bocas, Copa & Air Panama. If you arrive to Panama City at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) and are flying to Bocas with Air Panama, you will need to take a taxi to Albrook Marcos A. Gelabert Airport (PAC), which is around 25- 45 minutes away depending on the time of day and may take additional time if traffic is backed up. If you are flying Copa, you will fly out of the same airport. You should allow at least 3 hours between landing at Tocumen International Airport (PTY) and getting to Albrook Marcos A. Gelabert Airport (PAC) or bus station because of customs, immigration, and the journey within Panama City.

Eight major US cities offer direct, cheap, daily flights to Panama City: Los Angeles, New York, Newark, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, and Orlando. You can also fly directly from Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, and other locations around Europe.

Panama City, Panama, and San Jose, Costa Rica are the same distance from Bocas, so YiA Yoga suggests checking prices for both locations, but be aware that flights to Bocas from San Jose are less frequent and usually route through Panama City. If you plan to take the bus, San Jose could be the cheaper option.

A taxi from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) to a hotel in the Panama City center should cost around 25 to 35 USD.

Arrival by bus

From Panama City to Bocas it is approximately eleven to thirteen hours by bus or car. The bus costs around $20-$30.

From Almirante you take a 20 minute boat ride to the island of Colon. The cost is around $5 one way.

If you want to take a bus to Bocas from Panama City, you first have to take a taxi from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) or from your hotel in Panama City to Albrook bus terminal.

Busses depart Panama City to Bocas several times per day and normally do not require pre-booking. The only dates when you will not be able to easily catch a bus is when it is a Panamanian National Holiday.

Arrival by shuttle

You may also rent a car in Panama City and drive to Bocas. This is a good option for those who feel comfortable driving in other countries, but may be overwhelming to drivers who are not familiar with driving in foreign countries. You can also take the ferry to have your car with you on the island during the training.

Budget, Alamo, and Dollar Rent a Car have offices in Panama.

You will walk off the flight and have your very own bi-lingual tour guide waiting for you with a sign with your name on it. No taxis, no airport transfers, no hassles.
